Dunblane

Lettering on the granite coping of a fountain and cascade designed and made by Cobblestone Designs. I drew up the lettering by hand (as usual), but then transferred it via a computer onto sandblasting tape. The granite copes were polished before the tape was applied, and the blasting process removed much of the stone, leaving the lettering and its border standing in relief. The chamfered edges were hand-tooled, and all the upstands painted black for clarity. The playful style was the result of a collaboration with the parents involved.
